Today’s article is going to be focused around all of you out there who are beginners to the sneaker resell game.
As i will teach you guys how you can become a sneaker reseller where to buy these hyped, kicks and how to sell them on the aftermarket. I will also be including my knowledge of how to find these hyped releases and my thoughts on sneaker bot ting, so if you're excited to become a sneaker reseller make sure.
The way we have to tackle the first question of the day, which is how does sneaker reselling work, you all probably know that one kid who always flexes his hype sneakers and how he's making money online with it.
How To Become A Sneaker Reseller
And while some sneaker heads can be a bit obnoxious about how much they love their sneakers personally, i just think it's a really fun hobby that you can turn into a side hustle really easily pretty much the entire idea.
Of sneaker reselling is buying these sneakers off the initial drop for a cheap retail price and then on the aftermarket once all of the stock is sold, off of that site the people who still want those shoes have, no choice but to pay whatever those reseller are asking.
Now, if that explanation is not crystal clear, don't worry about it. I provided my own sneaker right here to really give you a visual for this.
Whole concept. We are going to pretend that this is an extremely hyped sneaker. You do have to note that sneaker reselling really only works. For hype sneakers like if you're buying some random from your local Kohl's, it's not gon na reselli, can tell you that you do have to be specificon. The shoes that you buy but for this example this shoe right here, is extremely hyped and i happen to buy it off the nike website for 100well.
That sure is great, because this thing, sold out in under five minutes with that being said there's still a lot of people who took an lon this shoe and still want to buy it. So whatthey're going to do is search up those keywords into, ebay or stockx, where my listing is and guess what guys.
I'M selling this shoe for 200 on ebay that means. If this person really wants the shoe they have no choice but to buy off of that higher priced listing or just walk away with no shoe at all. That is how these shoes actually resell, and see a rise in value after the initial release now.
You may be sitting here thinking well that’s sure great, but what, if i end up with a shoe that doesn’t resell like how do i know I’m buying a shoe that will perform better on the aftermarket well. My friend that is a very good question.
And it really all has to do with supply and demand if. There is more demand on the market than there is pairs of shoes. There are going to be buyers left over who still want the shoes but weren’t able to grab off the initial site.
That itself is a recipe for resell, because if demand is high, people are going to out bidding each other until they get that asset that they want. On the flip side of that if, you buy a shoe that has a ton of stock like it’s in every single Nike outlet across the United States. It’s going to be really hard, for the demand to be higher than that gigantic stock number.
If that is the case, and there's not enough demand to support the stock on the market, then there’s not going to be any resale, think about it. If there's the same exact amount of supply and demand, then everyone who wants the shoe can buy off the initial website and there's no need for are seller.
On the aftermarket the same idea. Applies if demand is lower than stock, because likely those shoes won't even sell off the initial site hopefully. That kind of clicked inside your head if, it's still not making sense, just comment down below. I will do my best to try to explain this to you guys. I really do want you guys to understand this concept, because I’m able to make a decent amount of side money every month, just flipping these sneakers and i have no problem passing youths information.
So you can do the exact same now that we covered exactly why sneakers resell and how sneaker reselling works? We can cover where to buy these shoes. Sneaker releases aren’t like your normal street wear brand because. If you're reselling like supreme you’re going to the same website, every single Thursday like, it's kind of a schedule and you get used to it, but the thing with sneaker releases is that they kind of just pop up at random times and the site. That they're on usually differs greatly one of.
The most popular sneaker release formats is through the Nike SNKRS app. This app right here obviously only shows Nike and Jordan releases. But what people like so much about it is that it gives people who don't own a bot, a pretty fair chance, at these shoes and it's just so simple to understand you - can see at the top right here. You have three sections on the app you have your feed. The shoes that are in stock right now and the upcoming releases the most important tab out of those threes, the upcoming tab.
So you can see when these sneakers are releasing. If we scroll down here we can see that they have a lot of shoes lined upend. If I’m interested in buying them all i have to do is tap the notify me button and I’ll get notifications sent to my phone before they release now for Nike SNKRS. The release format is verisimilar. They almost always release at 10, am eastern standard time or 7 am for everyone on the west coast, and there are a couple ways that they go about these releases.
One of the ways that they like to do it for the most hyped shoes is through general draw. This format gives users about 10minutes to enter into this draw and then it is completely random. The winners who are chosen the other way that Nike sneakers releases shoes is through a Leo drop, which still has this raffle type aspect to it.
However, it favors the people who are entered first, both of these systems, have great bot protection, and with that the Nike SNKRS app is one of the best ways to go if you do not own a sneakers bot. Now, of course, i just walked into that next question of what the heck is sneakers bot and should i be worried about it if, you are a complete beginner to the sneaker resell game.
Do not worry about any sneaker bot pretty much all it is is a piece of software that you download to your computer? Yes, you can code it yourself if you're, really tech, savvy and really the program's main focus is just trying to buy super limited shoes. There are some sneaker.
Bots that are extremely successful out there, but with that they can cost up to the thousands of dollars can make a whole video just about sneaker bots but. That’s not what this video is all about, so I’m just goanna say, if you are a beginner, do not worry about any sneakers bought and if you're buying any piece of software for under 100, i would be very skeptical about it, because it's likely not going to perform that great okay.
Before i forget, i do want to show you a couple more apps that i think you should have. If you want to become a sneaker reseller. The first one is the adidas confirmed. App this is pretty much the same exact thing as the Nike SNKRS app, but for the adidas brand all you have to do on this app is tap on that soon button and. Then it opens up a bunch of shoes where you can enter in a raffle.
The adidas confirmed app is the app you want if you're trying to flipyeezys, where, if you're trying to buy and sell Jordan’s, you definitely want the Nike SNKRS app now with that being said, there are plenty of foot sites online where these also release, but i want to show you exactly how I find when these sneaker releases are happening and how you can find where these sneakers are dropping for yourselves now before we go online.
I just have to say that if you want sneaker info, like you, already found your guy might as well just click that subscribe box, i post many videos about reselling sneakers and i always include the best sneakers to resell along with my resale prediction. So if you want a little insight on, your sneaker resale journey that subscribe, boxes a great way to start with that being said, I want to show you this very helpful site which is called
sneakernews.com. This is personally, where I find a lot of my sneaker release info.
All you have to! Do is go to this home page right here and then you. Can click on these release dates at the top to see exactly when these next sneakers are releasing for example, we just clicked on the yeasty release dates and it shows us that there's two coming up in the coming weeks, you can do the same exact thing for Jordan’s shoes and just regular Sneakers personally, i think the website's set up super well it’s super intuitive and it's a great way to find a sneaker release calendar some other sites, I want. To show you if you don't like sneaker news is, sneakerbarddetroit.com, highs nobility.
omand hypebeast.com. I will link all of these in my description and all of these are great places to find sneaker release information going back to sneaker news we're just gon na say that. We want this air Jordan, 12 retro concord and we're trying to figure out where it's going to be releasing well all. We have to do is click on the listing scroll down a little bit and here we have a whole list of all of the places it is in stock.
That is another great perk of sneaker news. It shows all of these sites stocking the shoes really easily and you can just click on these links to go straight to that website this shoe right here. You might actually recognize from earlier in the video because it was on that Nike SNKRS app. So, for a lot of these releases they do release on multiple platforms. Like if i was trying to get these air Jordan.
12S I would definitely be trying on the Nike SNKRS app but. I would also be on my computer on finish: line foot locker and jd sports trying to get through that sneaker queue. The last way to buy sneakers online is through different raffles, like you see on the site right here.
We can see that this is assns. raffle, which probably means nothing for most of you, but sns stands for sneakers and stuff which is another great app to have, if you ‘retrying, to become a sneaker reseller opening this app up right here.
This is not like the other sites a lot of these other foot sites up here are first come, first served, meaning that if you're the first one to check out this shoe, you are likely going to buy it off of that site, but with a app like sns it is, all about A random raffle, for example, all you have to do - is scroll down the screen.
A little bit and you'll start to see these shoes that you can enter raffles for scrolling down a bit more you can, see that this exact same air, Jordan, 12 that is on the website. Right here - is on this sns raffle and. So this is another way to try to get these sneakers.
Now i do have to say that raffles are really, a big hit or miss, and usually it's a miss like, your odds of winning these sneaker raffles are pretty low, but because the shoes that we like to resell are so limited.
Any single extra chance that you have to get these shoes is only going to help you out, and so with that i do love to enter into as many raffles as possible, with that said we still have a bit more info to cover for you to become a full-fledged sneaker reseller and to.
Do that we have to answer the question of where: can we sell these sneakers and how much can we ask for them to answer this question? We’re first gon na go to stockx right here and look at that Jordan 12.
That has been this example for, the video you can see this shoe isn't the greatest one to resell. It is retailing at 190and right now the last sale was at 225 dollars so. That means that the resellers are not making too much money off of this shoe, but this is just an example to show you these stats, so it really doesn’t matter scrolling down a little bit is really where you get the most info down.
Here you can see an entire chart of these sales overtime, including how many sales of this shoe have happened and the average sale price. This is some very valuable information because, let's say you have a size 11 of the shoe and you really don’t know how much to ask for it.
Well, you can go to stockx and see that the last sale was at 220 and then using that data. You can put up a competitive price for your shoe on the market now, while stockx is a great marketplace, and by far has the most data about past sales. My personal favorite place to, resell sneakers is on eBay, eBay, really doesn’t have that same in-depth analysis that stockx does but.
You can still see past sales. If you follow these, quick, simple steps. First off i just searched the Jordan, one royal toe into the search bar I actually ended up getting two of these earlier in the year and ended up reselling them pretty quick shout out my man Elliot Edwards, always buying sneakers from me.
I appreciate that, but the reason I’m on this eBay platform is to show you that. You can see past sales on this app as well all you have to do is scroll down a little bit and click on sold items here we can see that a size 13has been selling around that 290 dollar mark and.
With this again, we can see a fair price to put up our listing for both eBay and stockade platforms that are personal, favorites of mine to resell, street wear and sneakers. You can also use goat grail, craigslist depop offer upor. You can even sell these sneakers through an instagram page.
My personal favorite out of all of them is definitely eBay. If you want to see why make sure to check out this video right here, that upload compares and contrasts the benefits of both stockx and eBay, and it's going to be very valuable for you to maximize your profits as a sneaker reseller.
